BCRA provided on-call conceptual designs and cost estimates for several water and sewer projects throughout the City of Sumner. Based on these design concepts, we recommended procurement packages that would allow the city to complete as many utility improvements as possible within their allotted budget. As a result, the team progressed from conceptual designs to final bid documents for three project sites quickly, one of which was located at Spinning Avenue, Silver Street, and Rainier Street.
Spinning Avenue, Silver Street, and Rainier Street are in primarily residential areas, so improvements in this area focused on infrastructure capacity and resilience. BCRA worked closely with the city throughout the development of the bid documents to identify opportunities to maximize improvements and minimize service impacts to the residents.
