  • Architectural Design Leader

    10+ Years of Experience

    We are seeking a visionary and experienced Architectural Design Leader to spearhead the design and development of education and healthcare facilities. This role requires a leader who can blend innovative design with functionality, ensuring spaces meet the unique needs of students, educators, patients, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will excel at leading multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering impactful projects that prioritize sustainability, accessibility, and community well-being.

    Among other things, here’s what you’ll be doing:

    Design Leadership

    • Lead the creation of functional, innovative, and human-centered designs for Education (K-12) and Healthcare facilities.
    • Ensure designs foster learning, healing, and community engagement.
    • Willingness to work cross multiple markets to integrate design principles aligned to the corporate vision
    • Contribute to the on-going development/evolution of BCRA design philosophy

    Project Oversight

    • Oversee the creative vision of all phases of architectural projects, from conceptual design to completion, ensuring adherence to code, program, schedule and budgets.
    • Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and construction teams to align designs with technical and operational requirements.

    Client and Stakeholder Engagement

    • Engage with the community and key stakeholders to understand project goals and priorities.

    • Advocate for design solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

    Team Leadership

    Ideal qualifications we seek in a candidate:

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or a related field.
    • Robust design portfolio as lead designer
    • 10+ years of experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years in education and/or healthcare projects.
    • Professional licensure as an architect.
    • Expertise in healthcare and/or educational design standards, including infection control, universal design, and flexible learning environments.
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and BIM software
    • A keen understanding of sustainability practices, including renewable materials and energy-efficient systems.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based design practices for healthcare facilities preferred.
    • Familiarity with grant funding and government compliance for public education and healthcare projects preferred.
    • LEED AP or WELL AP
