Nestled on the historic Roslyn No. 9 Coal Mine site in the heart of the Cascade Mountains, Swiftwater Cellars blends a Northwest-lodge style with deep regional history to create the area’s premier wine experience. BCRA’s design of the winery paid homage to the one-time mining community with specialty design details such as pick ax door handles and steel art floor railings. To meet the client’s tight time frame, the design-build project was completed on a fast-track schedule. The design team incorporated several innovative strategies to meet the deadline, including the use of precast concrete for the building components and an accelerated design process.

BCRA designed the 250 acre South
Kitsap Regional Park, which became
a first to pursue a Sustainable Sites
Initiative designation.
