After having the same bar-themed environment design concept for over 20 years, The Ram employed the experts at BCRA to redefine their space to be more family-focused. As all six of the restaurants BCRA worked with differed in size and shape, the brand evolution was customized for each location. Adding an additional challenge for designers, some of the locations would retain the breweries, whereas some of the locations would remained focus on bar and dining areas. 

The design of the space was opened up to allow for family seating with brighter colors and less focus on the bar. The owners wanted attention on the environmental graphics to depict the history of the establishment and to support the local community in which each restaurant was located. More specifically, one Ram location sits across from a Harley Davidson dealership. The designers were asked to design an area within the restaurant space to feature local retail products with an open “view” window facing the Harley dealership. Each of these six Ram restaurants has a custom community element depicted in the design and layout of the interior of the restaurants.
