BCRA was challenged with creating a unique design specific to this particular site due to its geographic features. Because of the excessive slope, a prototype was not readily available and instead a design was created from scratch. To maximize the view, BCRA used a hybrid structural system of steel frame and concrete tilt panels to effectively construct the building on the site while allowing us to create one side of the building in glass. Integration of many of BCRA’s disciplines including Architecture + Interior Spaces and Science + Engineering allowed Kitsap Bank to easily coordinate all aspects of the project.

BCRA designed the 250 acre South
Kitsap Regional Park, which became
a first to pursue a Sustainable Sites
Initiative designation.
