Ivar’s retained BCRA to design their next level of customer experience, the Seafood Bar Plus. BCRA presented a concept that incorporated historic themes like the Ferry Kalakala as well as humorous elements, and began design of the new Westfield Mall location.
The client wanted to showcase fresh, made-to-order food preparation, and a restaurant-style dining experience. BCRA achieved this through strategic layout. The ordering counter and dining areas were separated, and furnishings were selected to enhance comfort. The kitchen was opened up, and soup bar placed visibly to showcase fresh food preparation. The South Hill location was subsequently designed under the same prototype model.
