Civil EngineeringCivil Engineering at BCRA provides a broad range of services, including storm drainage analysis and design, temporary erosion and sedimentation control, grading design, and observation of underground utilities, earthwork and surface feature construction. In addition, BCRA’s staff completes civil engineering quality control reviews a year to ensure constructability and adherence to design standards for projects done by other engineering design firms across the nation. Our expertise includes developing residential sites and commercial facilities as well as multi-phase master-planned communities, office parks and institutional campuses. With our emphasis on the LEED Green Building Rating System and Low Impact Development (LID), we strive to minimize our impact on the natural environment. |

Structural Engineering
Experts in seismic studies and retrofits, building envelope design, shoring and earth retention, and building structure modeling, the Structural Engineering team at BCRA integrates perfectly into our project design teams. Our engineers also consult with building scientists on staff on structural issues regarding building performance. Using advanced modeling and design techniques, this team helps our designers create lasting structures that are also visually appealing.
Building ScienceThe Building Science division at BCRA is focused on investigating and remediating failures in the built environment. As leaders in the industry, we incorporate a working knowledge of proven thermal, air, and moisture barrier techniques into the design, construction and forensic evaluation of the building envelope. This provides insights in hidden or unforeseen problems, eliminates unnecessary repair and schedule set-backs during construction and provides for an overall cost savings, occupant comfort and lower building maintenance over the lifetime of the building. |

Land Surveying
Our surveying services include boundary surveying, topographic mapping and ALTA/ACSM surveys, as well as construction staking, flood elevation certificates, boundary line adjustments, short plats, and large lot subdivisions. BCRA Surveying is also experienced in writing legal descriptions for boundaries and easements, and can assist with due diligence and acquisition issues.
